For those new to the Roundtable; we don’t recommend “Start” on anyone that all ready starts for 70-75% of owners and don’t recommend “Sit” for dudes that start on less than 35% of squads. We’ll break that rule from time to time if conditions warrant, but we’ll call it out when we do.
Big difference between the Roundtable and other fantasy football sites; we grade the previous week’s Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em performance and post it the following week for all to see. We also update a yearly scorecard. Pulled a C+ on the starts & a C on the sits in 2008 and just about the same in 2009. Had some tough "start" weeks early on in 2011 but rebounded later in the year. We killed it on the sits.
We're on the Twitter, @The_Roundtable. You can send us you're start em/sit em questions; or see if we woke up Sunday morning for some real time picks.
Week 14
Start 'Em
Christian Ponder QB, Minnesota
Has put up some quality starts over the last three games; going against the Lions this week, who have resumed to be the Lions going 2-5 over the last seven.
Carson Palmer QB, Oakland
Averaged 273 yards and 1.6 TDs since his first appearance; Green Bay continues to give up killer QB fantasy days (but doesn’t seem to care).
Mark Ingram RB, New Orleans
The rock has been his the last two weeks in the Saints offense; #1 backs have gotten a 100 yard game a TD or both against Tennessee D the last three weeks.
Michael Crabtree WR, San Francisco
Torched the Cards last time out; Cards have recently given up big WR days to Dez Bryant, Brandon Lloyd and basically every #1 WR they run across.
Malcom Floyd WR, San Diego
Has 100 yards in his last three for his last four games, last week was his first back since October, but still; Buffalo give up a ton of passing TD including 10 in the last four weeks.
Sit 'Em
Marion Barber RB, Chicago
Might be tempting to go with Barber with Forte on the shelf, but the Chicago offense is such a shamble under Hanie it tough to count on any of the pieces for fantasy numbers.
Steven Jackson RB, St. Louis
The Rams are just done, so you can’t count on Jackson to find the end zone; Seattle could still sneak into the play-offs and is sneaky good against the run, 11th in total yards, fourth in yards per carry.
Anquan Boldin WR, Baltimore
Where has Boldin been, averaging just 48 yards per game in the last five as the Raven have been pounding the run.
Dwayne Bowe WR, Kansas City
He’s been hanging on in a lot of leagues, but has been worthless to you since week 5; whatever chance he has to do anything with Tyler Palko will be taken away by the Jets secondary.
