Week Seventeen

If you’re playing Week 17, you’re likely in the league championship.  Your team is good.  You’ve had a good season.  And you probably don’t need much advice from this guy.  So here’s the philosophical approach to start ‘em/sit ‘em for this week.

Dance with the girl that bought you.  Unless you have specific information that a guys not going to play, start him.  He got you to where you are.

If you’re still not sure, you want to start the guys that still have something to play for
Atlanta, Carolina, Minnesota, Dallas, Philadelphia, Chicago, Denver, San Diego, Baltimore, Miami, New England, the Jets

Anybody else is a crap shoot.  You can’t count on guys that have clinched their play-off future…

Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, the Giants, Arizona

…you’re going to see dudes rest, play a half, etc.  And don’t go starting the back-ups if you can help it.   Do you want your league championship riding on Vince Young, Melwelde Moore, Jim Sorgi, David Carr or Jerheme Urban?

Or the rest who have nothing to play for.  The Packers have been dying to this Matt Flynn cat in a game, and frankly if you’re ever going to do it, a game against a 0-15 Lions team who haven’t won in Green Bay since 1991 is the right opportunity.

If you’re still stuck, check out the player rankings or shoot the Roundtable a note at info (at) fantasyfootballroundtable.com.

Enjoy the holiday and your championship season.
